Hello, is it possible to fix that Bloodwyn bug? Whenever you get close to him (at least in 1st chapter, I didn't get further because of this), you have to quit the game or he wont let you go away without cheats.
I found a workaround for this particular issue. If you get stuck in a never-ending loop with him, just keep on selecting an option(any one, doesn't matter). After this dialogue ends and before a new one begins, you have a very small time window in which you can move. Just keep backing off and in about a minute or two, you'll be far enough from him to stop the dialogue from initializing..
EDIT: Has anyone tried the method I gave above? It has worked for me, but I would just like it confirmed from someone else.

it would be great if it's possible to make an international (or multi-languages at least) patch for G1 like the community patch for G3, integrating these patches
Possible I guess, but not in the same way the one for G3 was made. The text is included in the scripts, not separated, so a fix must be implemented and compiled for each language separately. But it's possible to package compiled scripts for different languages in the same installer and the installer to detect/ask you what language to install.

Yes, I know that, I've made some attempts with Gothic Sourcer, file .d, .dat... I meant another thing, but I didn't explain myself very well . With G3 patches, everyone plays G3 with the same corrections of bugs and so on. If there were a complete list of Gothic 1 bugs and their corrections too, it would be possible for everyone to play Gothic 1 with the same corrections, instead of having patches, solving different bugs, for different languages versions (That is why in the previous post I was talking about integrating the patches).
This way, instead of packaging compiled scripts for different languages in the same installer (maybe there could be copyright problems, I don't know), every community could simply apply the same corrections to their own scripts.

That would take cooperation between teams or just a single team to do all that.

Installing it on the German version the installer asks to replace the neutral gothic.exe with the English one. Does it matter for the scripts? I said no and got error and abort messages, although the ou.bin at least installed correctly.
Nvm i just read in this thread

For now just avoid him or use cheats to get away from him.
A patch that introduces more problems than it solves? This post was made a year ago and the version is still 1.0...
Who wants to install this?

I certainly didn't install it ever again after encountering that bug. Even those errors when Gothic looks for the wrong file in the wrong place are acceptable to me.
And I don't think it matters if you replace the German gothic.exe with the English one.

I really don't get it. Most bugs in Vanilla are already fixed but there is not a single patch that just only fixes bugs without introducing new problems or new tweaks and quests.

The FPS unlocker is within an exe. After applying the player kit, there should be several executables, that are all capable of launching the game. Find the one, that unlocks the FPS and save that one file. You can then use it with any other mod, or even just alone to get the benefit.
Hi!
Is it possible to use the fps unlocker without the player kit? I want it because the player kit causes crashes in the fog tower, and in the old mine too.

No, you can't do it because FPS unlocker can be applied for the GothicMod.exe v1.08k_mod only. But you can compare original and patched GothicMod versions and try to search the same signature in a Gothic.exe without Player Kit installation.

Is the patch compatible with the Golden Mod?

Is the patch compatible with the Golden Mod?
No, the golden mod utilizes different .dat files which would conflict with the ones from the patch.
Ach Fry, Ich hab dich mehr als der Monde, die Sterne...das...fail.

Is this still being worked on? I'm playing Gothic 1 for the first time ever tonight and encountered the Bloodwyn endless dialogue loop bug.
